【NEW ARRIVAL】FUKUROYA TOWEL|SENSHU TOWEL

Fukuroya Towel is a manufacturer of Senshu towels established in 1926.

The Senshu area in southern Osaka has been a leading producer of white cotton since the Edo period (1603-1868), when cotton cultivation flourished.

Senshu Towel, Japan's first towel, was created in 1887 and quickly gained a reputation for its soft touch, warmth, and breathability due to the post-bleaching process.

Over five generations, Fukuroya Towel has been highly regarded for its innovative towel development, including the development of bag weaving, which pioneered the use of towels with names, computerization for quick delivery and small lot production, and the utilization of local resources.

While continuing to inherit traditional techniques, the company has been making towels that meet the changing times and diversifying needs of customers, and is currently focusing on manufacturing products that do not place a burden on the environment.

We hope you will take a look at our sustainable towels made from locally grown vegetables that have to be disposed of, or from the lees left over after brewing wine&beer, which are used as dyes.
