OKANO is a 125-year-old Hakata Ori weaver.
Hakata Ori is a silk fabric made in Fukuoka Prefecture.
The lustrous and soft silk is strongly beaten by hand weaving, resulting in a very strong fabric.
We have always challenged ourselves to develop products that are not bound by stereotypes.
We weave auspicious designs into not only kimono belt, but also familiar accessories.
We have now added a new pattern to our neckties.
Two of them are patterns drawn by the painter Katsushika Hokusai. One is a prayer pattern called kenjo gara.
We hope that you will wear it on milestone occasions. They also make great gifts!
