History
Half a Century of Progress Spun from the Tokyo's Old Town
In 1946, just after the war ended, founder Satoshi Kobayashi started his business as a small shop in the downtown area of Katsushika Ward, Tokyo.
In an era of scarce materials and disrupted distribution, he handled wholesale celluloid and synthetic resin materials.
By selecting materials and shapes according to customer requests, he steadily built small but solid relationships.
His belief, "Assess material quality and prioritize ingenuity for ease of use," was established during this time.
In 1952, the business incorporated as Kobayashi Shoten Co., Ltd. By 1958, it began manufacturing its own product, "Kobazol," expanding into the packaging and container field.
Eventually, it grew into a comprehensive manufacturer guided by the philosophy of "What can we add to plastic?" From this emerged the new brand COCOCICA, whose mission is to deliver "things found only here."
It proposes daily necessities with a focus on materials and design.
While embracing modern living, it weaves a "beautiful and thoughtful everyday life" that resonates with traditional craftsmanship.

Characteristic
Products that weave together materials and comfort
COCOCICA is a daily goods brand that harmonizes "materials, functionality, and presence."
Building on plastic processing expertise cultivated since its founding, the brand utilizes the eco-conscious material "Reseam" to develop biomass products incorporating corn starch and powdered scallop shells.
These technologies transcend mere material provision, elevating to the creation of "tools that make life more enjoyable and beautiful." For example, "Head Pet" is a craft kit using a soft, matte-textured biomass material.
Through the experience of folding, pasting, and decorating, it embodies the joy of "learning by touching" the material.
On the other hand, 'Saku Ika' is an upcycled product made from recycled waste materials.
It is an item that naturally fosters awareness of reuse through the "Tearable Squid (Saku Ika)" of tearing and playing.
The "Wine Bag" combines CORDURA nylon with Toyobo's cushioning material 'Breathair' to protect wine from impact.
Features like the cork coaster at the bottom blend quality with practicality.
What all products share is "listening to the voice of the material" and "imagining the user's smile."
COCOCICA aims for modern "utility beauty"—functionality infused with warmth.
