History
Beautiful colors for everyday life
Fujiwara Dyeing was founded in 1950 in Nishiwaki, Hyogo Prefecture, by founder Seiji Fujiwara, who started a cotton yarn dyeing and processing business.
At the time of the company's founding, Banshu-ori was in its heyday, and textiles were exported from the port of Kobe to various parts of the world.
We have been engaged in wholesaling dyed yarn to other companies while overcoming the turbulent times that followed, including the decline in exports due to changes in social conditions and the influx of foreign products.
The year 2020 marks the 70th anniversary of our founding.
We launched our own brand "FUJI GAUZE" in order to let more people know the quality of our dyed yarns.
Through our original products using our dyed yarns, we will bring the beautiful colors of Banshu-ori to your daily life.

Characteristic
Soft fabric woven with colorful yarns
Banshu-ori is a cotton fabric originating in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
In the mid-Edo period (around 1792), Hida Yasubei, a palace carpenter, brought the Nishijin textile technique back to this area from Kyoto.
Since ancient times, this area, called Banshu, has been known for its mild climate, which was suitable for cotton cultivation, and cotton textiles flourished.
In addition, many rivers, such as the Kako River and the Sugihara River, are concentrated in the area, and their soft water quality, suitable for dyeing, made it possible to dye the yarns into brightly colored, soft yarns.
We made gauze fabric with these colorful and soft cotton yarns.
Gauze is very soft and is used in the medical field as a cloth to cover wounds and for bandages. We named the product "FUJI GAUZE" with the hope of expressing the gentle image of wrapping with this natural material in our manufacturing.
Through our "FUJI GAUZE" products, we will bring you items with a gentle touch that make the most of the blessings of nature unique to Banshu.

For Customers
Pop items that make the most of high-quality Banshu weaving
"FUJI GAUZE" offers original products utilizing the "yarn-dyed weaving" technique, which is a characteristic of Banshu-ori.
"Yarn-dyed fabric" is a technique of weaving patterns using yarn dyed in advance.
Since the yarn is dyed thoroughly from the thread, there is little color fading and deep colors can be expressed.
The combination of brightly colored checks pattern or stripes pattern is perfect for fashion items with a playful spirit.
We also make full use of nature's blessings in our product manufacturing by reusing scraps from the manufacturing process.
We use the techniques and experience we have cultivated over the years to bring you items that make high-quality Banshu-ori more familiar to you.
From small children to adults, we bring fun and comfort to your daily life.
We hope you will feel the gentle touch of natural materials on your hand.
