History
Try-and-errors enabled by our compact organization
Our origin dates back to 1951 when the factory of processing aluminium mold was opened. We have been producing metal products that are light, gentle, and convenient for your comfortable kitchen times.
Our motto is to make products that are "sure" since they are being used everyday. Ten years ago, with one customer's voice telling us that she wanted made-in-Japan pans but there weren't that many in the market, we started manufacturing metal pans.
There used to be many other factories and companies making them, but decreased into less than 10, now imported pans dominating the market.
With our craftsmens' devotion and loyalty, we stick to made-in-Japan.
Characteristic
Thin metal without any layer on the surface; dished remain as tasty as they are
Collaborating with TENT, a small design company in Tokyo, we successfully created the ultimate combination of "creating" and "eating".
Our pan has only 1.6mm of thickness, therefore maintaining the original texture of ingredients: juicy meat, fresh vegetables, soft breads, just by placing them on the low-heated pan.
Our wooden handles are made in Yamagata prefecture, adjustable with a range of 360 degrees, allowing you to be liberated from any of constraints when cooking.
Our pans pursue convenience and comfort when being used in your kitchen, thus are best suited for casual everyday use.
For Customers
Your pan grow old with you
Our pan, named "Jou", is made one-by-one in Osaka by traditional craftsmen.
Because of each being completely hand-made, the final products slightly differ from each other.
As you use it for longer years, the color of the surface will darken as it absorbs oils from the ingredients. Our hand-made pan grows old with you, by slightly adjusting to the way you use it; we will become your best partner in the kitchen!
