Description

The back of the hand mirror is adorned with the traditional Hanami-dori pattern using the "Suri-Haku (Raised Foil) technique."
The "Suri-Haku (Raised Foil) technique" is a traditional decorative method that combines "Raised Foil"—where adhesive is rubbed into fabric or wood using a stencil, and gold or silver foil is applied on top—with "relief," which raises the pattern to create a three-dimensional effect. This technique imparts a rich sense of depth and brilliance.
Kanazawa gold leaf was hand-torn and applied to the entire mirror, creating a glamorous and luxurious finish.
