Godzilla: New Form Revived in Sumi-e Ink Painting
"Godzilla-1.0 (minus one)" is a film commemorating the 70th anniversary of the birth of Godzilla.
The film, which was highly acclaimed at film awards both in Japan and abroad, has been given a new life through the traditional art of Japanese ink painting.
Completely original drawing by artist Hakudou.
The overwhelming power and presence of Godzilla is depicted stroke by stroke, and the boldness and discretion of the sumi-e ink painting can be fully appreciated in this work of art.
The scroll is then carefully finished with a handmade binding by a hanging scroll craftsman.
The scroll is presented in a paulownia wood box with a calligrapher's handwritten inscription on the front surface, which adds to the pleasure of holding it in one's hand.
Please enjoy it not only in the tokonoma (alcove) of your Japanese-style room, but also in your office, store, or other places where you entertain your customers.
