Description
A gentle shade of pink!
Gohonte is a type of pottery in which the color changes during firing due to the composition of the potter's clay, producing pale pink spots.
Gohonte was named after the Korai tea bowls that became popular in the tea ceremony culture from the Azuchi-Momoyama to the Edo period, and were sent from Japan to Korea as a model to be fired.
This bowl is a comfortable size for rice and noodle dishes such as oyako-don.
The rustic texture that evokes a sense of history makes it ideal for everyday use as well as a gift for elderly people.
