Description
Iburi Kogeisha
The mukkuri is a traditional Ainu bamboo instrument.
In the past, it was played using the sounds of the natural world and the sounds of daily life as motifs.
Like a mouth harp, the mukkuri is held in the mouth to produce sound, but the way it is played allows for the player's own originality to shine through.
Iburi Kogeisha is a group established by traditional craftsmen and artists who love the Iburi district in Shiraoi, Hokkaido.
We hope you will enjoy the soothing sounds of the mukkuri.
