Description

The large full moon floating in the pitch-black night sky is powerful.
"Keibifugetsu" began through an encounter with visual artist and designer Hisakazu Suzuki.
This work expresses the "emotions of the heart"—such as prayer, memory, and hope—using the waxing and waning moon as its motif.
Upon closer inspection, the moon has a mottled pattern, and this appearance is depicted with great detail.
Combining the traditional paper-making techniques of "Handmade Washi Tanino" and the "Karagen" Karakami craftsmanship with Hisakazu Suzuki's beautiful, fantastical designs, a truly exceptional piece has been created.
Enjoy not only the design but also the lustrous quality of the paper and the unique Japanese paper printing technique.
The phrase "tsuki o yobu" (literally, "calling the moon") comes from the moon. Take it in your hands and enjoy the scenery within the Japanese heart.
