Description

The large crescent moon gradually appearing in the pitch-black night sky is beautiful.
"Keibifugetsu" began through an encounter with visual artist and designer Hisakazu Suzuki.
This work expresses "emotional longings" such as prayer, memory, and hope, using the waxing and waning moon as its motif. While the crescent moon appears powerfully, it also carries a sense of transience.
Combining the traditional paper-making techniques of "Handmade Washi Tanino" and the "Karagen" Karakami craftsmanship with Hisakazu Suzuki's beautiful, fantastical designs, a truly exceptional piece has been created.
Enjoy not only the design but also the lustrous quality of the paper and the unique Japanese paper printing technique.
Since ancient times, the Japanese have cherished the moon and enjoyed a deep connection with the calendar. Please take it in your hands and savor the scenery within the Japanese heart.
